Dress Regulations
Dress regulations must be adhered to at all times whilst in the Members' Enclosure including in the Members' Reserved Car Parks.
The Club reserves the right to refuse admission to any person not appropriately attired.
Members are reminded of their responsibility to ensure the attire of guests introduced into these areas conform to the standards required.
ladies
Ladies and girls over 12 are expected to maintain a suitable standard in keeping with the dignity of the Members' Enclosure. Younger children accompanied by an adult must be suitably attired.
Not Acceptable – Ladies
- Any form of sports shoe such as joggers, track shoes, runners, dilapidated footwear, scuffs, slippers or thongs. A shoe is considered a thong if it has two straps which connect in between the first and second toes.
- Jeans, jodhpurs or non-tailored slacks. Slacks tucked into socks and footwear. Leggings, shorts or tracksuits.
- Parkas, duffle coats, windbreakers, tracksuit tops, golf and yachting weatherproofs, denim jackets, anoraks and untailored leather jackets.
gentlemen
Gentlemen and boys over 12 are required to wear a suit, sports coat or blazer, plus tie. Between 1 December 2009 and 31 March 2010 coats may be removed. The Chief Executive may decide that jackets may be removed on any given day due to the temperature. If it is decided that it is too hot to wear a jacket outside the abovementioned dates, the Chief Executive will make an announcement and notification to Members will be made via the on course PA system, Flemington TV and Radio Sport 927.
Not Acceptable – Gentlemen
- Any form of sports shoe such as joggers, track shoes, runners, sandals, thongs, dilapidated footwear, scuffs or slippers.
- Any shoes without socks.
- Jeans, jodhpurs, shorts or non-tailored slacks.
- Open-neck shirts, polo shirts or shirts without a collar.
- Parkas, windbreakers, tracksuit tops, golf and yachting weatherproofs, waist length jackets including bomber jackets, denim jackets, leather jackets, anoraks.
- Safari suits, tracksuits.
- Safari suits, tracksuits.
- Peaked caps, beanies.
- Pullovers or cardigans (without a jacket), rugby tops and football guernseys.
