As fashion evolves, so too does the MYER Fashions on the Field event at Flemington - this year is no different.
Women's Classic Racewear-
Women and their racewear became a focus at Flemington more than 40 years ago, when the first Fashions on the Field competition was held to try and entice more women to the racecourse.
Men's Classic Racewear-
The pinnacle men's fashion event of the Melbourne Cup Carnival takes place on AAMI Victoria Derby Day with the MYER Fashions on the Field Men's Classic Racewear competition which is now in its 7th year and is growing in stature and popularity.
Design Award-
The Design Award - which encourages outstanding racewear design - will be staged again this year on Emirates Melbourne Cup Day.
Millinery Award-
Despite headwear being the hottest topic of conversation for months leading into each Melbourne Cup Carnival, the fine art of millinery is one that's often not fully recognised.
