Myer Fashions on the Field - Women's Racewear

Women's Racewear

Elizabeth Pollard - Women's National Racewear winner

Women and their racewear became a focus at Flemington more than 40 years ago, when the first Fashions on the Field competition was held to try and entice more women to the racecourse. Today, the Women's Racewear category of the competition often eclipses the public and media attention at the track, such is the size and popularity of the event.

Now a national competition that's broadcast around the country on Network Seven. In the Women's Racewear category it is highly recommended that you pre-register in order to enter Myer Fashions on the Field (Cup Week only - this does not apply to interstate events) as there are only minimal places available on the day to enter.

When you consider the prizes, it's no wonder that so many women enter!

Four easy steps to entering Myer Fashions on the Field:

  1. Plan your outfit, keeping in mind the judging criteria. What a better excuse for a shopping spree!
  2. Dress up & turn up to one of the interstate competitions (see below)
  3. Entry is free - simply fill in a registration form
  4. Appear on stage before a panel of expert judges as part of the Heats process
