How do I buy tickets to the 150th Melbourne Cup?
All tickets for Emirates Melbourne Cup Day must be pre-purchased; tickets cannot be purchased at the gates.

Reserved grandstand seats and general admission tickets must be pre-purchased for all four days of the Carnival through Ticketmaster or at Flinders Street, Southern Cross and North Melbourne Stations.
Will there be commemorative memorabilia available to purchase?
In recognition of the 150th Melbourne Cup milestone, an Australia Post commemorative stamp, an Australian Mint commemorative coin, and a special commemorative book and DVD, entitled The Story of the Melbourne Cup - Australia's Greatest Race will be produced.

The VRC offers a number of trackside options for Members and the public to watch the 150th running of the Melbourne Cup. To find the best dining and entertainment package to suit your style and taste, contact VRC Customer Service on 1300 727 575. Reserved grandstand seats and general admission tickets can also be pre-purchased for all four days of the Melbourne Cup Carnival through Ticketmaster or at Flinders Street, Southern Cross and North Melbourne Stations.
Off course, the 'People's Cup' will also be broadcast live on Channel Seven, and available via live streaming on the Internet. Pay TV stations of Sky and TVN will also broadcast the race live on the day.

The 2010 Emirates Melbourne Cup trophy has returned to its design zenith of the illustrious 1930 Cup won by the legendary Phar Lap. Crafted by Hardy Brothers Jewelers, the trophy is now valued at $150,000 and is modelled on the original design concept of James Steeth.

To illustrate the remarkable 150 year history of the Melbourne Cup, the VRC has commissioned a special commemorative DVD entitled The Story of the Melbourne Cup - Australia's Greatest Race, which has been written and produced by Channel Seven feature reporter, Neil Kearney and will be released in August. Slattery Media Group will also publish a special edition commemorative book of the same title, with an expected release of July 2010.
